Payment Method

WSQ prefer payment by EFT to BSB 06-4405 Acct No. 0092 1834. Please forward confirmation of payment to both and

Bookings and Cancellation Policy

Please consider the arrangements and dates carefully before making a booking. WSQ is a not-for-profit organization operated by volunteers. 

A deposit of $50 is payable to secure a place for a WSQ workshop or beginners class. The balance owing must be paid at least 1 month prior to the workshop or class. 

If there is a request to cancel the booking, the deposit will be refunded as follows: 

 -more than 3 months to commencement date of       the class or workshop full refund of deposit 
 -3 months or less but more than 2 months 50% of deposit
 -2 months or less no refund of deposit

WSQ will not refund the balance with less than 2 months notice

WSQ will not refund attendees on a pro rata basis for classes or workshop time that you are unable to attend.

Helen Beaver


18-19 March 2017 (Sat-Sun)  

Helen Beaver is a respected and talented tutor of watercolour painting and is in constant demand to conduct workshops. She has been invited to participate in the Tattersall’s Landscape from 2005. Her work has been exhibited in Paris, New York, Melbourne as well as Brisbane and its surrounds.

The stages of building up a figure from boxes and cylinders and gesture, etc., then a clothed model for the afternoon and with 1 min, 2 min 5 min 10 min and half hour poses.

Ev Hales

Ev Hales is a professional artist from Hurstbridge in Melbourne. Starting out as a secondary art and craft teacher Ev teaches around Australia and at various locations all over the world. Ev has won numerous prizes and exhibits in galleries in Melbourne. Ev has published articles in a variety of magazines including Australian Artist, and has several books of her own: ‘Australian Orchid Design’, ‘A Work in Progress’ and and an e-book ‘Painting en Plein Air’.

Location: The Northside - St Peter Chanel Church, 41 Chaprowe St, The Gap.

Themes include;

  1. Seeing shapes - trust your eyes (the importance of shapes to the design of a painting)
  2. Using the water - different approaches (allowing watercolour to be watercolour and create magic)

  1. Foliage - with landscape and flowers (AM and PM subjects)
