Maria Field is self-taught Brisbane artist, chocoholic and mother of two (and wife of one) was born in Brisbane in 1963. Her love of art began at the age of 5 when she received a 36 colour paint box, which became her most treasured possession. Her love of animals naturally called her to draw her family pets. She now specializes in detailed pastel Pet Portraits receiving many commissions. Her perfectionistic style captures the unique personality of each animal.
